Early Years

Welcome to the Early Years!

The Early Years at Sri Basava Public School is a family within a family. It caters to the specific needs of young learners in a safe and nurturing family environment, within the larger canvas of the school community. The programme focuses on building the foundation of learning by equipping students with key skills in literacy and numeracy, enabling them for future learning. Children are encouraged to think independently and work collaboratively. There is also emphasis placed on building self-esteem and confidence during these tender years, by helping students understand themselves better as learners as well as members of a community.

Curriculum Explained

The Early Years (EY) programme at Sri Basava Public School  comprises Nursery, Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Upper Kindergarten (UKG). The curriculum is influenced by the Montessori and Kindergarten methods. It prepares children by extending their learning through group activities and hands-on work through an inquiry-based approach. These crucial years are used to help children improve their self-confidence and build their curiosity. Teachers engage with students to make learning their own. Children from the age of 3 years are welcome to begin their learning adventure at our school.
